Privacy First Architecture

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 23, 2026

1. Core Privacy Commitment: Zero Server Uploads

At NovaTools (novatools.app), the privacy of our visitors is of paramount importance. The defining technical feature of NovaTools is that we do not transmit, collect, process, or store your documents, photos, videos, or files on any remote servers.

All operations—including PDF merging, PDF splitting, image format conversion, image compression, video trimming, audio extraction, and EXIF scrubbing—occur 100% locally within your client browser runtime using WebAssembly, HTML5 Canvas, and Web Workers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect or view the contents of any files processed on this website.
  • We do not record file names, metadata, passwords, or document content.
  • We do not require user accounts, email registration, or credit cards to use standard tools.

3. Third-Party Advertising and Cookies (Google AdSense)

To keep NovaTools free and accessible to everyone, we may serve advertisements provided by third-party vendors, such as Google AdSense.

Third-Party Vendors: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

DART Cookies: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

Opting Out: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

4. Web Server Log Files

Like most standard website hosting providers, our static hosting platform (e.g. Cloudflare / Vercel) may log standard, anonymous HTTP request headers (such as IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, and date/time stamps) strictly for traffic analytics, DDoS mitigation, and server diagnostics. None of these logs are linked to any personally identifiable documents.

5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have rights regarding their data. Because NovaTools never collects or stores your uploaded files or personal records, your data is inherently protected by zero-collection architecture.

6. Contact Information

If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or our client-side runtime security, please reach out via our Contact Page or email us at privacy@novatools.app.
